Hollister? Does anyone even shop there anymore? Sadly, yes, because they are still hiring. Unfortunately the Abercrombie & Fitch sister company busted a mega ‘no bueno’ act by firing a Muslim, female employee after she refused to remove her hijab at work.
The employee was reportedly dismissed a week after the store’s district mangager (always such sour grapes those DMs) told her that the scarf violated the store’s “look policy”. Pfft, look policy? They should do something about their design policy before anything else. Not being able to wear a hijab the is not the only violation of the store’s policy, but get this, having a prosthetic arm is also an issue if you are hoping to nab a job at Hollister. I kind of threw up in my mouth after reading that one.
What is it with Abercrombie and it’s sister companies offending people? Looks like they are having serious issues turning down the ignorance a notch. We hope the ex-employee gets the justice she deserves.
