After crashing the tents at NY Fashion Week, American Apothecary, a t-shirt company started by two former assistant district attorneys, has been receiving much buzz.
This provocative line showcases the ads of remedies that are no longer commonly used because they are illegal or incredibly dangerous. In case you weren’t aware, in the early 1900′s cocaine was used in cough drops for kids, tape worms for weight-loss, heroin as a pain reliever and cigarettes were used as an old school inhaler for those suffering for asthma, go figure right?
We’re obsessed with these shirts not only because they’re edgy and unique but ridiculously comfy, so comfy you want to live in them. So guys, beware, the ladies in your life might be stealing these t-shirts away from you when you’re not looking.
Ultimately the really cool thing about American Apothecary is that 10% of the proceeds go to drug outreach programs. Comfortable, provocative shirts for a good cause? We’re all in.
