Inspiration: Marc Jacobs’ inspiration for his Spring 2011 Louis Vuitton collection was The China Girl and absolute opposite of the minimalism we’ve been seeing lately.
Top Trends: Animal prints, the Chinese Cheongsam cut, metallics, flapper-esque fringe end COLOR.
Accessories: There was a slew of bold logo clutches donning not only the signature LV monogram but Vuitton block text as well. The models wore minimalistic strappy heels to balance out the elaborate outfits and true to China Girl style, there were tons of fans.
Favourite Looks: The colorblock jumpsuits, the caped colorblock dress and all of the accessories.
Thoughts: Marc Jacobs knows how to create a collection that will get people talking. He brought the runway back to life with his flamboyant designs and inspired us after having witnessed what seems like a simple collection after simple collection from other designers.
