Net-A-Porter just announced that it will be launching a men’s shopping site come January. Mr. Porter will be a stand alone website that will retail a mix of 60 brands, including Ralph Lauren, Burberry, Dunhill, Margaret Howell, Mr. by Roland Mouret and John Lobb. It will be the perfect one-stop shopping experience for all of the style savvy men out there.
“We’ve wanted to do this for years but never felt it was the right time,” said Natalie Massenet, founder of Net-a-porter and its executive chairman. “This idea did not come from a bunch of people sitting in a boardroom looking at a spreadsheet. It was our customers, our target market, that was asking for this.”
It’s about time men had a website dedicated to just them to shop designer clothing!

Nicole Richie is a busy woman these days. She just launched her House of Harlow 1960 and Winter Kate autumn/winter 2010- 11 collections and she’s a mother of two. So busy that she doesn’t even know who Cheryl Cole is! When Glamour announced the winner of “Woman of the Year,” Richie was just a tad confused. This one made me chuckle. Even if you’re not familiar with her music, Cheryl Cole is a recognizable name. Read on to see what Richie had to say about Cheryl Cole, her fashion line, her inspirations, and motherhood.
On Cheryl Cole’s win of Glamour’s “Woman of the Year”:
“I had no idea who that Cheryl girl was. I heard her accent and thought she must be Irish. She’s not big in the US.”
On her favorite part of her collections:
“I’m a busy working mother. I’m all for what’s comfortable but I don’t think people today make enough effort with what they wear. At the same time I don’t want to have to get out of bed early to decide what to put on. My jackets are my favourite part of my collection because you can just throw one on over jeans and a vest and it looks like you’ve made an effort.”
On where she gets her inspiration from:
“I was walking around the other day and I saw this woman wearing this great hat and I thought actually that’d make a really good bag so we turned it upside down and now it’s a great looking bag. Handbags and sunglasses are the area I really hope to expand on. I’m a real handbag girl. I couldn’t cope without my Balenciaga- it comes everywhere with me.”
On life after her second baby:
“When I had Sparrow I felt as if I knew what I was doing more. I knew the signs and when it started happening I tied my hair into a nice side plait, put on my bronzer and off I went. I have found the increase in bust size difficult though. It’s why I dyed my hair brunette. I was blonde with this big chest and I thought ‘no this is not my look.”
Shakira will be all dressed up in Roberto Cavalli when she kicks off the FIFA World Cup with her performance. Alicia Keys, Black Eyed Peas, John Legend and the Soweto Gospel Choir will all hit the stage as well.
The wait is finally over! Lady Gaga’s Alejandro music video is 8:43 long and is anything but ordinary. Check it out!! Ale-ale-jandro!!
The FIFA World Cup trophy has a new home in a lavish Louis Vuitton travel case. The custom-made, 18-ct-gold travel case is designed to hold the trophy until it is handed over to the winning team in July. Naomi Campbell unveiled the covetable prize and its extravagant case two days ago in Paris.
“We are very proud to have been chosen by FIFA to create the case in which the world’s ultimate sporting prize will in future travel the globe,” a spokesperson for Louis Vuitton said.
We couldn’t think of a better case to hold the handmade trophy.

The result: three covetable collections.” said Gap’s Executive Vice President of Design, Patrick Robinson.
