Remember that one time you were on a metallic makeup kick? You know – when you were younger and really into MAC Cosmetics for some reason? I was particularly obsessed with this limited edition, metallic eyeshadow called Parrot. It was kind of a devastating moment for me when it got discontinued – as if it was actually a practical shade I'd frequently use later in life.

Anyway, for most, the typical result after such an obsession is the urge to go the polar opposite route. This often means purchasing more pinky-nude lipsticks and neutral eyeshadows than you know what to do with.

It's really a pity makeup doesn't last forever because metallic lipsticks and eyeshadows are kind of looking really good lately. Just remember, more moderation, less glittery ninth-grade vibes.
