Can we get an amen? I mean, ANTM needed a serious revamp/wake-up call and it will come in the no bullshit package that is Kelly Cutrone. K-Trone took to Facebook to say: “Shout out! I will be the new judge on America’s Next Top Model – I will post on my web site soon more info – kellycutrone.net.”
You don’t even know, I was totally done with America’s Next Top Model because it got fucking lame and ridiculous. Well, things are clearly changing now that Kelly’s a judge. Definitely a good move because she’s the reason we will probably tune in again.
Tune into The CW tonight at 9/8c to watch Rachel Bilson‘s new show Hart of Dixie. We got an early preview of the first episode and we’re already hooked on the story line but what we’re even more obsessed with is the amazing clothes Bilson’s character Dr. Zoe Hart wears. Check out some photos we snapped while on the set.
Now Rachel Zoe isn’t the only stylist on TV with her own reality show, June Ambrose scored her own series on VH1 where she and her assistants will be followed around by cameras as they dress up celebrities.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, the show is tentatively titled The June Ambrose Project but um, yeah we have a feeling there’s going to be a little problem with that considering there’s this little show about the same thing called The Rachel Zoe Project.
Last night was the premiere of True Blood season four and it totally got us back in that Trubie state-of-mind leaving us to scour the web for all things TB-related including girly things like handbags and makeup.
The 'Eric' Bag by Hammitt (Our Fave of course)
Tarteunveiled a collection of makeup for Sephora inspired by the series and Hammitt launched a line of handbags named after some of the show’s most prominent characters and we want all this shiz.
I swear, this is brilliant! Prabal Gurung teamed up with Baltimore rapper, Rye Rye, showcasing his amazing Resort 2012 collection in her music video, “New Thing”. This one is a must-see. I’m fighting the urge to get out of this chair and break it down.
Swedish cutie, Robyn, finally unveils the new music video for her song “Call Your Girlfriend” off of her amazing album (no really, it’s fucking fantastic) calledBody Talk.
In the video, RoRo (yeah, we’re cool like that) shows off her dance moves and even wears some interesting flatform sneakers that kind of look like a pair of Sketchers I had in elementary school.
If you haven’t got her album, you are truly missing out on life.
The highly-anticipated music video for Beyonce‘s song Run the World is out and yes she’s wearing a ton of couture looks in it as expected. We spotted Alexander McQueen, Pucci, Givenchy, Norma Kamali and Jean Paul Gaultier. What do you think of the clip?
For those who haven’t seen it yet, here’s a trailer of the Yves Saint Laurentdocumentary we’ve all been waiting to cross the shore,L’Amour Fou. It chronicles the designer’s business/intimate relationship with Pierre Bergé and even gives a look into the 2009 Christie’s auction of his elaborate art collection. For the YSL-obsessed (raises hand), this should be an insightful look into the relationship he had with Bergé, whom some speculate played the role of nurse and business parter versus love of Laurent’s life. You might have to bring the tissue to this one.
The movie opened in New York last week and will hit Los Angeles on May 20th.
E! debuted the Lady GagaJudas video a little earlier than expected. Don’t be jealous of those who got a sneak peak last night, Gawker put up the video on their site. We like. A lot. Check it out here.
We’ll talk the fashion tomorrow because it’s Cinco de Mayo and we only have one thing on our mind: margaritas.
Edit: Looks like they took down the video but if you didn’t see it, don’t worry it premieres today.
Last night a friend and I decided we were in the mood to catch a movie and if you’ve seen movie listings this week, you know the stuff that’s airing at the mainstream cinema is disappointing so we opted to go our the local indie/foreign theatre to watch Bill Cunningham New York, a documentary about The New York Times “On the Street” photographer.
While some of you may not recognize his name, you are surely familiar with Bill’s work and in this film we learn how Cunningham got his start as fashion’s pioneering and most-respected street style photographer as well as personal look into the absolutely adorable, 80-something-year-old man’s life.
If that didn’t get you excited, Anna Wintour, who happens to be a total softy when it comes to Bill Cunningham makes a cameo in the film as well as Tom Wolfe, Patrick McDonald, Annette De La Renta (Oscar’s wife), Carmen Dell’Orefice, Michael Kors and Editta Sherman.
Warning: You will fall in love with Bill and have the urge to hunt him down on his little bike and squeeze him…hard. And let me just tell you…you haven’t seen anyone light up when they talk about fashion like Bill does and his passion had me shedding a few tears. Yeah, I know. I’m a big wussy.
