For Gleeks out there that have been neglected by TD, we’ve got an event recap for you. We we’re invited to Mark Salling’s record release party for his debut album, Pipe Dreams. Of course, most of you may know Mark as Puck or the hot one from Glee.
The party, hosted by Xomad and sponsored by BlackBerry was the third installment of their ‘BBM Lounge’ series and if you are familiar with the world of Crackberry, you are surely aware of BBM Lounge parties and how exclusive + awesome they are for ridiculous techy reasons that only a Crackberry user would obsess over such as:
-Getting your drinks and food delivered to you by scanning items on a menu.
-Getting free batteries when your BB runs out so you can continue BBMing.
-You’re not deemed as being rude for using your phone at these parties. EVERYONE is BBMing away with you.
Unfortunately, I switched over to that popular touch-screen phone produced by a company named after a fruit from my BB about two weeks before I got an invite to this event and to be honest I was pretty bummed.
Of course, upon entering the vip lounge of the party, the crackberry withdrawls began.
To lessen the pain of not having my Blackberry my guest and I downed a few yummy blackberry juice infused drinks and hors d’oeuvres as we watched Mark perform a couple tracks.
The guy can sing but we already knew that right? Did I forget to mention that he’s hot and quite possibly the only reason I sneak in a Glee episode here and there? Yes, I have no shame.

According to reports they work by having you “slip a switch, and the shoe tightens as if you just pulled and tightened conventional laces. The switch activates a motor that rolls or unrolls a spool of wire distributed throughout the shoe. When the spool reels in the wire, the shoe tightens along axis supported by various rods.”
