Hurry up with my nails betch!
It’s no surprise that Nicki Minaj would want to hop on the celebrity fragrance train. The artist tells Allure: “Hopefully, I’ll do one this year. I like scents that feel summer-y, but have a va-va-voom [factor]. I want to smell like a sexy and confident woman, not like candy.”
Nicki also mentioned her least favorite beauty duty:
“You know what’s so messed up? I used to love getting my nails done; it was a time of relaxation. Now, I want to choke myself because I can’t pause my life. In L.A. the nail technicians take 18 hours for a freakin’ fill-in [for acrylics]. My phone goes off a billion times.”
Who’s style inspires her?
“I love Cyndi Lauper’s style. I remember watching her as a kid and thinking, I don’t know who this is, but I want to hang out with her. Her style looked like a piece of art to me.”
Nicki, I’d take some caution the next time you get your nails done.

K-Lag in a section of his massive library. Image via Vice Magazine
We know K-Lag loves his books considering he happens to own over 300,000 of them and low-key owns a bookstore and publishing house in Paris by the name of 7L and even has plans to open another in New York. Well, now it’s no surprise that Karl Lagerfeld has teamed up with the publishing company Steidl to create a perfume that will smell like books by the name of Paper Passion.
Karl actually isn’t the first one who tried to recreate a scent inspired by the scent of books; Zadig et Voltaire also released one called, Tome 1 La Pureté. Now what makes Paper Passion cooler? The packaging. The scent is said to be encased within a hollowed out hard-cover book named Paper Passion as well.
I mean, yeah the smell of books brings upon the nostalgic memories but nowadays the scent simply reminds me of how creepy some Los Angeles Public Libraries are. I mean, they were the spot when I was kid and recently I ventured over to one for fun, checked out books, got creeped out, left and never wanted to go back to that to that place so that left me with a stack of overdue stuff and letters from collection agencies months later but that’s all sorted out now.
So yeah, IDK if I’ll be all over this book smell, which almost kinds of smell like the Goodwill now that I think of it, on my body. In books, yeah cool, drenched all over me, probably not. Not going to lie, I probably will still buy it and put the pretty book on my dresser.
What do you guys think?

Flowerbomb fans rejoice! Viktor & Rolf unveils Flowerbomb: La Vie En Rose for Spring 2011.
Here’s an idea of what it smells like:
Opening on a green flash of citrus fruits with invigorating bergamot and tangerine accords, the fragrance blossoms into the dusty, eager and sophisticated heart of a rose and lily-of-the-valley bouquet, enhancing the captivating sensuality of pink peppercorns. It ends with amber and woo dy notes of cashmere and patchouli.
Um, how delicious does that sound?
Alright FB fiends, you can get your bottle of La Vie En Rose in April at Saks and Sephora for $80.

Ooo this my sh*t!

Creative Nail Design and designer Jason Wu have teamed up to create a collection of nail polishes. CND have a reputation of being the folks high-end designers always pick to create gorgeous nail looks for their models on the runway.
“Every season I play with different ways of using color in my collection, so it was a natural choice to collaborate with CND on a capsule of nail colors that reflects my aesthetics. Included in the set is my signature gray color,” Jason Wu tells Elle.
The collection boasts gorgeous limited edition colors but what we’re waiting to get our hands on is the Anna Effect top-coat which when applied over any shade, emulates Anna Wintour’s trademark suits by adhering microscopic fibers to give the nail a tweed finish. Tweed nails? Yeah. We’re so in.
The polishes are slated for release in the Spring and will be approximately $15 dollars.
