We know K-Lag loves his books considering he happens to own over 300,000 of them and low-key owns a bookstore and publishing house in Paris by the name of 7L and even has plans to open another in New York. Well, now it’s no surprise that Karl Lagerfeld has teamed up with the publishing company Steidl to create a perfume that will smell like books by the name of Paper Passion.
Karl actually isn’t the first one who tried to recreate a scent inspired by the scent of books; Zadig et Voltaire also released one called, Tome 1 La Pureté. Now what makes Paper Passion cooler? The packaging. The scent is said to be encased within a hollowed out hard-cover book named Paper Passion as well.
I mean, yeah the smell of books brings upon the nostalgic memories but nowadays the scent simply reminds me of how creepy some Los Angeles Public Libraries are. I mean, they were the spot when I was kid and recently I ventured over to one for fun, checked out books, got creeped out, left and never wanted to go back to that to that place so that left me with a stack of overdue stuff and letters from collection agencies months later but that’s all sorted out now.
So yeah, IDK if I’ll be all over this book smell, which almost kinds of smell like the Goodwill now that I think of it, on my body. In books, yeah cool, drenched all over me, probably not. Not going to lie, I probably will still buy it and put the pretty book on my dresser.
What do you guys think?
