Bankrupt vs. Jackpot: Leather & Metal Bags

When Alexander Wang came out with his Marion Mini Sling Bag, I fell in love. With its small, cube-like structure, gold hardware and black leather, it is the perfect mix of classy and edgy. While I was still contemplating if I should dish out the $650, I came across this bad boy on from Asos. It’s almost identical and at the reasonable price of $118? Yes, please.

Quote Du Jour: Alexander Wang- “I scribbled, drew shoes, picked clothes out for my mom” At Two Years-Old

“I was fascinated by magazines. I scribbled, drew shoes, picked clothes out for my mom. She really encouraged me. She bought me my first sewing machine and she’d bring home fresh flowers and say, ‘Draw something for me.’ I’ve always had a very supportive family. There are all these sorts of stereotypes that certain backgrounds – Asian families – want to direct you into certain [careers] but my family has always been, ‘This is where your talent is, let’s go for it.’ And with that I’ve been very lucky.”
