Karl Lagerfeld on Galliano: “I’m furious, if you want to know. I’m furious that it could happen, because the question is no longer even whether he really said it. The image has gone around the world. It’s a horrible image for fashion, because they think that every designer and everything in fashion is like this. This is what makes me crazy in that story. The thing is, we are a business world where, especially today, with the Internet, one has to be more careful than ever, especially if you are a publicly known person. You cannot go in the street and be drunk — there are things you cannot do… I’m furious with him because of the harm he did to LVMH and [chairman and ceo] Bernard Arnault, who is a friend, and who supported him more than he supported any other designer in his group, because Dior is his favorite label. It’s as if he had his child hurt.” [WWD]

Oh yeah! K-Trone is a Correspondent on the Dr. Phil Show, Yeah!
Wow I want to sock this spoiled bitch in this clip for trying to mouth off Kelly K-Trone Cutrone. If you didn’t know, Kelly announced her gig with Dr. Phil four days ago on Twitter: “News Flash! I have been signed to @drphil as a Correspondent!! CBS daytime is loving the black – shout out to @drphil MORE 2 COME.”
Looks like I’ll have to deal Dr. Phil’s annoying voice and entire being for that matter to watch Kell’ on the show.
She also just tweeted on hour ago: “Shooting w/ @drphil today! Wouldn’t it be funny if we did a color make over!!!”
Time to set your damn DVRs.
Kelly Cutrone: ‘I’m not doing reality TV anymore. I’m done.’
“I’m not doing reality TV anymore. I’m done. I’m doing a television show that I’m on that’s not scripted, but it’s not based on me running around and sharing my personal life in my office and in my home…I think it’ll be me more working with young people who want to be in these different industries, so it might be something like, you know, you look like a fashionista but you’re not, you look like a skate dude but you’re not, you look like a hotshot entrepreneur but you’re not, maybe you should walk the walk. So it’s, like, part Great Santini, part fairy godmother.”

Bluefly Closet Confessions: Kelly Cutrone [VIDEO]
As you all know, we’re kind of obsessed with Kelly “K-trone” Cutrone here at Très Dope. My latest K-Trone fix comes courtesy of a friend who referred me to these videos via Bluefly. Kelly’s energy is contagious and inspirational for the label-crazed maniac. We love how a “war” ensued with her mom over Maison Martin Margiela. So something that happens to all of us right?
Quote Du Jour: K-Trone Doesn’t Want Her Books to be in Self-Help Section
“I didn’t know it was going to be in [that] section. The kids that are buying my book were like ‘what are we doing in the self-help section-we are 21 years-old, we are just starting our lives.’ And I started thinking that there is not a section for this age group. My idea is that there should be a section called ‘Journey’ and when my book comes out in May, I want it to be in [this] new section.”
-Kelly Cutrone reveals to People. Her second book, Yes I Said That is set for release this Spring.
Quote Du Jour: Kelly Cutrone on the ‘Future of Fashion’
“Here is what I think is the future: Street life and life style. Style is in; fashion luxury, forget it. It’s over. Gucci, Vuitton, Hermes … all those places are really great, go for it. That business exists in a city called Paris, France. That’s where that is. Those businesses will continue. Retail business, pretty much over. I think people who sell to retail companies are people who can’t afford their own stores. The poor boys — Old Navy, J.Crew, Gap … they already knew that and aren’t wholesaling. Editorial, magazine, we are going to say buh-bye to them as we know them. They will still exist but everything is on the internet.”
-Kelly Cutrone gave this answer to a girl asking about where to look for a job in fashion, while Cutrone was speaking at the Bryant Park Reading Room Series yesterday.
Quote Du Jour: Spell-Check Yo’ Self Before You Facebook K-Trone
“Do not Facebook the owner of a fashion agency asking for a job. I’ve said this before and yet people still Facebook me. The messages often contain grammatical errors, they don’t make sense or they are littered with acronyms like LOL. If you do Facebook the owner, have something interesting to say and use a spell check.”
