The winner will get special access to shoot a runway show during NYC Fashion Week 2011. The winner will also be given access to shoot candids at a VIP fashion party and spend 3 days alongside the team at People’s Revolution. If needed, travel and accommodation will be provided to NYC for 3 days during Fashion Week 2011 from February 10 -17.
In addition, Kelly Cutrone will curate a selection of photographs taken by the winner to be posted and promoted on her social media networks.

As you all know, we’re kind of obsessed with Kelly “K-trone” Cutrone here at Très Dope. My latest K-Trone fix comes courtesy of a friend who referred me to these videos via Bluefly. Kelly’s energy is contagious and inspirational for the label-crazed maniac. We love how a “war” ensued with her mom over Maison Martin Margiela. So something that happens to all of us right?
“I didn’t know it was going to be in [that] section. The kids that are buying my book were like ‘what are we doing in the self-help section-we are 21 years-old, we are just starting our lives.’ And I started thinking that there is not a section for this age group. My idea is that there should be a section called ‘Journey’ and when my book comes out in May, I want it to be in [this] new section.”

“Here is what I think is the future: Street life and life style. Style is in; fashion luxury, forget it. It’s over. Gucci, Vuitton, Hermes … all those places are really great, go for it. That business exists in a city called Paris, France. That’s where that is. Those businesses will continue. Retail business, pretty much over. I think people who sell to retail companies are people who can’t afford their own stores. The poor boys — Old Navy, J.Crew, Gap … they already knew that and aren’t wholesaling. Editorial, magazine, we are going to say buh-bye to them as we know them. They will still exist but everything is on the internet.”
-Kelly Cutrone gave this answer to a girl asking about where to look for a job in fashion, while Cutrone was speaking at the Bryant Park Reading Room Series yesterday.
“Do not Facebook the owner of a fashion agency asking for a job. I’ve said this before and yet people still Facebook me. The messages often contain grammatical errors, they don’t make sense or they are littered with acronyms like LOL. If you do Facebook the owner, have something interesting to say and use a spell check.”
