“There have been on-and-off conversations about Dior. I don’t know; maybe someday in the future, maybe years from now, I may end up going someplace else, maybe Dior. But right now I am at Vuitton, and all that matters to me is that that’s where I am and I’m going to keep doing my thing … The irony in all of this is that I don’t dream of doing anything else, or I didn’t.”
-Marc Jacobs clears up the Dior rumors. Do your thing Marc. Do your thing.

Runway Recap: Marc Jacobs Spring 2012
Inspiration: We can’t tell you what Marc Jacobs‘ inspiration for his Spring 2012 collection is but if we had to guess it would be something along the lines of futuristic flapper meets cowgirl who likes to wear gingham prints sometimes. Ah, as if we needed anymore reason to love MJ right?
Top Trends: Drop-waist dresses that took on a flapper feel, sheer gingham fabrics, mod outerwear and heavily embellished coats and skirts.
Accessories: See-through cowboy boots, small handbags, fringe clutches, headbands, sheer socks with heels.
Favorite Looks: The black fringe dress paired with matching coat and the plasticky green skirt sweater-vest combo.
Thoughts: This is definitely one of those collections a real girl will have a hard time incorporating into her real life. I mean, we don’t think anyone can pull off that saran wrap skirt but Marc Jacobs still provided a fun, fashion-forward collection to look at.
Marc Jacobs: I think it would be really exciting. I wouldn’t be able to say no [to Dior]

I'm a team player.
“I’m not thinking past today. I don’t know what I’m doing about anything. It has nothing to do with salary. I mean, I’d be honored to do Dior. But I work with a team, and I’d like to be able to keep working with them. I think it would be really exciting. I wouldn’t be able to say no.”

John Galliano‘s former assistant Antonio Berardi reveals:
“John would come out at the end of the catwalk show and people would think how confident he was. I think it was that part of his persona that kicked in for two minutes. Then he’d go back to being incredibly shy. Most of us [designers] are fragile creatures – even if we look theatrical and put on shows.”
Carine Roitfeld is everywhere these days and now she’s on the latest cover of i-D Magazine shot by Terry Richardson. Seems like she’s busier than ever since Vogue Paris gave her the boot. Success is definitely the sweetest revenge in this case. [Design Scene]

Zac was always ridiculous … But then he became a parody of himself. People around him have a head for business and try to rein him in, but he’s never had to work from the bottom up, and he’s too used to everyone flapping around him to notice that his name doesn’t mean what it used to.”

So Marc Jacobs is Probably Gonna Replace Galliano at Dior…

- It’s me bitches!
Alright reports all over the damn internet are saying that Marc Jacobs will totally be replacing John Galliano at Dior.
Marc’s contract at Louis Vuitton is almost coming to an end and now LVMH is trying to convince him to take on Dior before they renew him for another stretch at LV.
If he accepts, Jacobs will head over to Dior with his business partner Robert Duffy and in turn the incredible Pheobe Philo of Céline will take his place at Louis Vuitton.
Who saw this one coming?
Chris Colfer- ‘When Glee started, I had no idea who Marc Jacobs was.’

- Marc Jacobs who?
“When Glee started, I had no idea who Marc Jacobs was. In no way was I a fashion person! I did all my shopping at my small-town Target. Maybe if I dressed better I wouldn’t have had such a hard time in school. Now, as Kurt, I get to wear all these amazing things, by people whose names I can’t even pronounce.”
-Chris Colfer of Glee reveals to Vogue.
Dakota Fanning is the Face of Oh, Lola! by Marc Jacobs
