Natalie Portman Is “Disgusted” By Galliano’s Anti-Semitic Comments

Not all smiles anymore!

We knew it was only time before the face of Miss Dior Cherie, Natalie Portman expressed her feelings on the whole John Galliano anti-Semitic scandal.

Natalie released this statement:

“I am deeply shocked and disgusted by the video of John Galliano’s comments that surfaced today. In light of this video, and as an individual who is proud to be Jewish, I will not be associated with Mr. Galliano in any way. I hope at the very least, these terrible comments remind us to reflect and act upon combating these still-existing prejudices that are the opposite of all that is beautiful.”

You know you really f*cked up if Natalie Portman is pissed at you and we’re glad she stuck up for her beliefs. It’s going to be really hard to take Galliano seriously now.

Oh No He Didn’t: Galliano’s Drunken Anti-Semitic Slurs Caught on Video

"I love Hitler!"

Alright last week Galliano was at La Perle in Paris where he got arrested for harassing a couple while absolutely trashed. He spewed some messed up anti-Semitic comments to curator Geraldine Walsh calling her an “ugly disgusting whore” with a “dirty Jew face.” He also threatened to kill her boyfriend (YEAH?!) then he threw the “Do you know who I am?” card announcing that he was indeed the designer John Galliano.

Well that wasn’t the first time Galliano went on a anti-Jew rant. Here is some video footage of Galliano flipping out on a totally different occasion. He goes on to say “I love Hitler” and “People like you would be dead. Your mothers, your forefathers, would all be f*cking gassed.”

Um, yeah. He is crazier than we thought.

Reportedly, face of Miss Dior Cherie and Best Actress Winner Oscar winner last night, Natalie Portman was asked backstage after winning her award about the whole incident. The Academy staff whisked  her away before she could make a statement which would have been interesting considering Natalie is Jewish and face of the fashion label.

Anyways, what do you guys think? Is his career over?

Natalie Portman Lands InStyle Cover and Admits She Isn’t Down with Making Out in Public

The newly engaged, pregnant  and absolutely gorgeous Natalie Portman graces the February 2011 issue of InStyle Magazine. In the mag, Natalie talks about having friends with benefits, finding love, her pregnancy and PDA.

If she could go a day without being recognized, WWND?

“I would make out in the park! [Laughs.] That’s the thing I would most enjoy doing in New York, and it’s something I’ll never do. I’d also have loud, public conversations with my friends about personal things. Even if no one is paying attention—and most of the time, no one cares—you never know who is at the next table.”

Aw, all Nat has to do to make this come true is enlist Jwoww and Snooki as her friends for a day. Sans cameras of course.

For more of Natalie pick up the February issue of InStyle on newsstands this Friday.

Sartorial Spotlight: Natalie Portman

From Left to Right: Dior, Lanvin, Jason Wu, Miu Miu, Rodarte, Lanvin, Dior

While out promoting her most provocative film yet, Black Swan, Natalie Portman has pulled out some fashion guns major enough to remind us of her sartorial capabilities. The new face of Miss Dior Cherie has been wearing a slew of Galliano’s designs this year as well as gorgeous dresses from Lanvin. Natalie doesn’t even need to wear couture to look graceful; she’s sported designs from capsule lines on the red carpet including a couple of dresses from her friends at Rodarte and their collection at Target as well as Alber Elbaz’s stuff for H&M.

Natalie Portman Snags Vogue Cover & Says “Lesbian scenes, sex scenes, they’re all over the place!” in Black Swan

Shot by Peter Lindbergh for Vogue

The gorgeousness that is Natalie Portman is on the cover of the January 2011 issue of American Vogue looking pretty-in-pink wearing a J Mendel chiffon dress. The actress also gives a pretty candid interview speaking mostly about her most provactive role yet in the film Black Swan.

On eating:

“I swear, I eat. I ate a bagel an hour ago. I consume my own weight in hummus every day. I cook a lot, and I even do vegan baking.

“I like pleasure, I like joy. I’d never get to the point where I would starve or injure myself like Nina does. I’m the opposite—when I’m hungry, I eat, and I always make sure I’m eating something delicious. I’m tough on myself in terms of the standards I want to live up to, but that’s also part of my pleasure: knowing you are being your fullest self. Being your fullest self is a lot of work.”

On sexy times with girls:

“Lesbian scenes, sex scenes, they’re all over the place! But because it’s me, people are shocked. I see the value of a good-girl persona—it’s so easy to subvert it!”

On living in LA:

“I’d always been really wary of L.A.; then I realized I liked it. But everyone important to me for my entire life is in New York.”

On having fake siblings, including the ladies of Rodarte:

“Fake siblings—I always imagine that’s why I have so many friends. In New York, I have probably 50 people that I’m very close to—so there’s constant interaction, but I don’t really see anyone regularly because it’s 50 people, whereas in Los Angeles I have five friends, and I see them every day. It’s the first time I’ve had really close girlfriends. Kate and Laura Mulleavy have schedules that are similar to mine, so we can go for a hike at noon, or to the museum in the middle of the day.”

On vulgarity:

“There’s a difference between being in a bra and underpants as an object on a men’s-magazine cover and playing yourself—a woman with desires and needs who loves and laughs with her friends—in a bra and underpants. You become an object if you simply put it out there. Most movies are made by men, it’s totally natural that they’re going to present their worldview, so we’re trying to find more women who are writers and directors who are expressing their worldview. Did you see Tiny Furniture? Lena Dunham wrote, directed, and starred in it; she’s 23, and it is just amazing. She walks around in her underwear for the whole movie; it’s harsh. She’s the subject, she’s not the object, and it’s beautiful—that’s the kind of thing we need more of.”

Don’t you love her even more after reading that? Don’t you need to be her fake sibling and invite your self to  go on hikes with the Rodarte women?

Yeah.
