“I’m not sure — it’s an amazing job, I don’t know if he would be the right person for it. John Galliano is difficult to replace. I think it’s important not to jump into things. It needs to be a logical continuation of the brand. But who am I to say anything? I guess we all just have to wait and see.”

Sartorial Spotlight: Hailee Steinfeld
Hailee Steinfeld’s breakout role in the film True Grit portrayed a tough, little girl with a serious mission. While we’re not sure if Steinfeld is a tough, gun-toting cookie in real life, we know one thing and its that her style is just as adorable and sweet as her cute little face. The buzz around this girl started when she was spotted wearing Spring ’11 Prabal Gurung and Prada during award season earlier this year and at only 14 years-old she’s won the hearts of designers who love dressing her and fashion critics alike. We can’t wait to see more of Hailee and just like the rest of the fashion world, we’re excited to see how her style transitions with age.

Rumor: Theory to Buy Proenza Schouler
Theory founder Andrew Rosen was spotted at Proenza Schouler’s SS11 show which gave us more reason to believe the brand is interested in buying the label from, Permira, a private equity.
Permira also owns Valentino and holds a 45% stake in Proenza Schouler.
Hopefully this won’t conflict with the fact the Proneza boys are next in line to design for Valentino when he retires.

Emily Blunt Looks Ahhmazing on the Cover of Elle UK

Emily Blunt landed the cover of Elle UK’s September issue wearing a lace dress from Valentino’s Fall ’10 collection and looks effing beautiful per usual.
What she had to say about photoshop:
“I don’t like it when they stretch you out and make you all long and skinny. “It makes you look like a Barbie. Who the hell looks like that?”
And about her style:
“My style has changed, I hope dramatically. Because it started off kind of worrying and questionable. I now own what I wear, and I guess I dress a bit stronger now, a bit tougher than I used to. When I was a kid I used to like wearing men’s colorful vests with white jeans. So, hopefully it’s changed a bit.”
-On owning her personal style.
